Just wondering if anyone in the USA with the technological capabilities could record the short opening credits used on Lifetime for me, please? I saw them used when I was in Boston in September but they were over so fast that I didn't manage to see which clips of the girls they kept and which they edited out. I know that they don't start with the aeroplane, if that helps. If you can record them and upload them to YouTube etc, then I would be very grateful. Over here in the UK (and on the DVDs) we only get to see the proper opening credits.

I'm not sure if this was what you were requesting, Rob, but I just found this video of the GG opening credits featuring a different shot of Betty and Estelle - here, on YouTube. I've never seen those before.

No that's not it. The ones from Lifetime don't even do the "And if you threw a party..." part of the theme. It cuts right after "You're a pal and a confidant..." to the last line. They are really short. I haven't been able to find them online at all yet.

Woah, I had no idea that Lifetime cut out so much of the theme song. The part cut out is what I always associate with Estelle being shown in the credits.

Thanks for trying, Sam. That video clip is (I suspect) a home edit. The ones I'm after are the butchered ones used on Lifetime. You see, because the sequence is so short they chop out a lot of the scenes in the full credits. I'm keen to know which scenes of the girls are kept in the credits. I saw them in person in the USA but didn't have time to identify which scenes were kept and which were cut. I do remember that the very short credits don't even start with the aeroplane.

The short version's lyrics are:

"Thank you for being a friend,
Travelled down the road and back again,
Your heart is true,
You're a pal and a confidante.
Thank you for being a friend."

It's literally about 20 seconds or something (compared to the normal 40 seconds or even longer 60 seconds).
